This cream puff is an acquired taste. I don’t know anyone who kind of likes a Swedish semla. A semla is a small, wheat flour, cardamom-flavored bun that’s filled with almond paste and whipped cream. You eat semlor on ”Fettisdagen”, second Tuesday in February, during Lent. It’s best described as a cream bun with almond paste.
